Clint DeBoer, of Pro Tool Reviews, provides contractors with information about and insights into latest cordless power tool trends. In this PROcast, DeBoer, whose team at the tool review website tests hundreds of tools each year, talks about the latest tool trend: an explosion of power tools — especially power tools that were once exclusively corded now going cordless. He also talks about the trends in lighter weight and lithium-ion (LI) batteries, especially how LI batteries provide longer run times. Finally, he tells hosts John Gordon and David Dovell that the nicad batteries are done, but that some companies still are committed to the technology for older cordless power tools.
