The Makita kit for drilling, driving and fastening delivers up to 50 percent more run time, increased power and speed, and longer life. The Makita’s XT248 hammer driver-drill delivers 530 inch-pounds of torque and the impact driver delivers 1,420 inch-pounds of torque.
Both are powered by Makita’s 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery, which reaches a full charge in just 30 minutes. The 18V LXT battery is compatible with more than 65 Makita 18V Lithium-Ion tools.
Makita hammer driver-drill and the impact driver feature an efficient BL Brushless Motor, which is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50 percent longer run time per charge. The BL Brushless Motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the BL motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life. The electronically controlled BL Brushless Motor efficiently uses energy to match torque and rpm to the changing demands of the application.
Variable 2-speed ½-inch hammer driver-drill (0-400 & 0-1,550 RPM) with BL Brushless Motor delivers 530 inch-pounds of maximum torque and weighs only 3.9 pounds.
The Makita kit for drilling, driving and fastening comes with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), engineered for increased dust and water resistance for operation in harsh jobsite conditions.

18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery provides longer run time, five times lower self-discharge, and 16 firm holding contact terminals for constant high power. The three-stage LED battery indicator notifies user when it’s time to recharge the battery. 30-Minute Rapid Optimum Charger communicates with the battery’s built-in chip throughout the charging process to optimize battery life by actively controlling current, voltage and temperature.
Makita’s 30-minute rapid optimum charger has a built-in fan that cools the battery during the charging process for faster charge time and is ENERGY STAR qualified.
